Relationship Advice & Tips

Did Your Boyfriend Stop Talking to You? Learn the Main Reasons Why Guys Stop Talking Suddenly

If your boyfriend suddenly starts distancing himself or stops talking to you then you are entitled to feel alarmed about it. After all the emotional investment that you have made you deserve to be treated better. However, please note your boyfriend is well within his right to do so. Here are some reasons why he is doing this. Identify the real cause and address it before he goes away forever.

He is missing his bachelor days

Unknowingly you are tagging along with him wherever he goes. There is not a moment when you are not with him except when he is in the bathroom/washroom. If this is the case he is missing his bachelor days when he was a free bird. Give him lots of space and he will start talking to you once again.

You are fast forwarding the relationship

He feels that you are in a rush to settle down. If you are fast forwarding the relationship because your biological clock is ticking then that is not the right thing to do. Go slow and do not exert any pressure. In fact don’t talk to him for a while and he will begin to miss you once again.

He is still not sure of his feelings

The reason he stopped talking to you is because he is still not sure of his feelings for you. He does not want to be the villain and is therefore trying to create an artificial distance so that you get the hint.

He feels that you are manipulating him

Are you blackmailing him emotionally? Do you always insist that he does things your way? If that is true then an apology is in order. He is your boyfriend and not your slave, he deserves lots of respect.

He has some personal issues to sort out

There could be any number of personal issues that might be forcing him to put the relationship on the backburner. It could be that a close family member is going through a breakup or maybe his parents are separating. Whatever be the case assure him of your support and things will be fine.

He wants to focus elsewhere

Maybe he has realized that being in a relationship is like a full time occupation and he wants to focus all his energies on his studies or profession. If that is the reason why he stopped talking to you, encourage him. He will thank you for it and will also resume talking to you.

There could be a third person

It is quite possible that your guy must have met a new girl that is more attractive or one that matches his wavelength. If that is true then you are better off without him. There are plenty of guys you can date. All you have to do is look for them in the right place.

Las Vegas Shows: A Cheat Sheet

Sin City has come to rival New York in terms of the quantity, quality and sheer diversity of stage of shows running on stages all over town. At any time, there are about 100 shows playing on and off The Strip. But picking the right show all depends on what kind of Vegas trip you’re looking to experience. Luck for you, the cheat sheet below was created to help you sift through the overwhelming mass of shows to figure out which one is right for you.

Vegas is one of the ultimate destinations for bachelor and bachelorette parties, and there are plenty of great shows meant to appeal to groups enjoying one last weekend of freedom before the bride or groom to be tie the knot.

Guys on bachelor parties generally head straight for the strip clubs, but why spend money on expensive cover charges, overpriced cocktails and expensive lap dances when you can see some of the most beautiful women in the world taking it all off in one of the many smoking hot adult revues playing on The Strip? X Burlesque at The Flamingo brings back the art of the tease, the stars of Crazy Girls at The Riviera live up to the show’s title after 20 years of wowing audiences, while the bodies of some of the most beautiful women in the world become canvases in a classy and artful show that celebrates the sensuality and beauty of the female form in Crazy Horse Paris at The MGM. Guys looking for a laugh along with the beautiful showgirls can combine the two at The Playboy Comedy Club at Palms, in which top of the line headlining comics are joined onstage by the current Playmate of the Month or at The Sin City Comedy Show, where hilarious stand up sets are interwoven with performances from sexy burlesque dancers.

Ladies looking for similar show are in luck as they can check out the shirtless studs in Men of X at Hooters, Aussie hunks in Thunder From Down Under at Excalibur or the guys in American Storm at Planet Hollywood, who use the power of their six packs to appeal to the more patriotic revelers. Women who want to participate in some sexy fun can sign up for Stripper 101 at Planet Hollywood, which will give the bride an opportunity to learn some pole and lap-dancing moves that she can bring back to her groom to be… which he will undoubtedly appreciate.

Vegas may be known as Sin City, but there are still plenty of great shows that the whole family will enjoy.

The Mac King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s stars the genial and charming, plaid-suited wearing magician whose equally hilarious and mind-blowing show is catered to appeal to audiences of all ages through his use of gold fish and Fig Newtons. The Blue Man Group provides a creative and endlessly inventive night of entertainment through their mix of music, comedy and performance art, all delivered without dialogue, while Jersey Boys at The Palazzo tells the story of the rise of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons through their timeless music that will have youngsters who have never heard of the band tapping their toes (though the language does get a bit salty at times… they may have written some sensitive hits like “Walk Like a Man,” but they are still boys from Jersey, after all).

Two of the biggest shows in Vegas are also perfect family entertainment options. Cirque Du Soleil’s collaboration with the most beloved band of all time in The Beatles LOVE at The Mirage provides a magical mystery tour through the group’s timeless hits married to eye-popping and beautiful visuals created by the famously artistic troupe of aerialists, dancers, acrobats, clowns and performance artists. Disney’s The Lion King at Mandalay Bay brings the Tony winning smash-hit adaptation of the classic movie to Vegas, with its unforgettable songs by Elton John and amazingly creative visuals brought to life by visionary Julie Taymor in a show that will leave the entire family in awe.

Vegas is a great place to go for a romantic getaway with your significant other, and there are a lot of shows perfect for couples playing all over town.

Couples can swoon at the doomed romance at the heart of Phantom The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian, the ramped up Sin City version of the most popular musical of all time, while those looking for a romantic night of music can enjoy iconic entertainers like Barry Manilow at Paris or Celine Dion at Caesars Palace as they belt out their all time hits. Ladies will enjoy the handsome blue-eyed crooner Matt Goss, who has made the lounge singer cool again with his weekend performances in The Gossy Room, while guys will love his sexy backup dancers in a show produced by Pussycat Dolls mastermind Robin Antin.

For couples looking for something that will get them in the mood, Peepshow Starring Holly Madison at Planet Hollywood is a fun, flirty and sexy adult revue featuring the star of The Girls Next Door that also features a strapping cast of male dancers, ensuring that both men and women will have plenty of eye-candy to enjoy, while Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity applies the entertainment empire’s winning formula to a steamy and artistic show that celebrates every facet of human sexuality.

Lots of people go to Vegas with their girlfriends or best bros in hopes of meeting someone on a dance floor of one of the clubs. But there are plenty of shows where you might just bump into someone interesting in the lobby during intermission.

Penn and Teller at the Rio continue to impress with their dark humor and expert illusions in a show that’s remained hip over the years, while the raunchy antics that hypnotists Marc Savard at Planet Hollywood and Anthony Cools at Paris make those under their influence perform might just provide the perfect conversation topic to use as an opener… as long as you don’t mind being humiliated onstage for a few minutes. People always say that a good sense of humor is a huge turn-on, so prove you’ve got a functioning funny bone when you check out some of the rotating comics at The Improv at Harrah’s or at the local’s favorite Four Queens LA Comedy Club, but if you’re looking for a bigger name in comedy, try out your best Kramer impression after checking out comic legend Jerry Seinfeld at Caesars Palace. Nightclubs are a great place to meet someone, but why settle for just any DJ when you can see the world’s greatest, TiĆ«sto, at his monthly residency show at The Hard Rock Hotel, which has become the hottest party in Sin City.

There are about 100 shows in Las Vegas playing at any given time, and titles are constantly shifting as new shows open and old shows close. But no matter what type of entertainment you’re looking for while you visit Sin City, you’ll be able to find it somewhere on a Vegas stage.

Las Vegas: A Real Place for Punters & Bachelors to Visit in Winter

Las Vegas. The first thing that comes in your mind is about gambling, fun, chilling out hook ups, etc. Thanks to the Hollywood movies and some of the popular television web series that revolves around the drug mafias of Vegas these days, portraying the picture of Vegas as a crime city where people running often after money, smuggled ‘coke’, hook-ups, etc. fantasies.

Well, some of these are exaggeration of course, which are shown for entertainment. But, one thing is a proven fact about Vegas. Those who really believe in becoming a ‘Richie rich’ in one night believing their fate, for them this is a place where every punters and bachelors love to visit in winter season.

There is myth that Las Vegas is the only place on earth where people turns either millionaire or a beggar in one night. It might seem unbelievable to know that Las Vegas is a place in USA where an economy is majorly dependent upon the tourists those who spend a major portion of their whole year’s revenue into gambling in some of the reputed casinos of this place. Those lucrative investments are the ‘turnkey’ factors for feeding the retail and the hospitality industry of this place.

Let’s take a better look into some of the reasons for which Vegas is a gambler’s paradise.

Exotic experience of Freemont Street

Freemont Street is one of those places of Vegas where there are a number of casinos. Most of them are located in the downtown area. Back in the 1989, most of the resort development in Las Vegas were outside the city. This affected the tourism industry a lot. That is why later most of the tourist engaging projects were started in downtown area for encouraging the tourists in this place.

Downtown casinos

Casinos are one of the major attractions of Vegas. Whether it poker, roulette or blackjack, a punter has ample of choices to fulfil every quench of thirst for gambling.

Unlike other casinos, in downtown most of the casinos are set up for attracting the tourists in every possible way it can.

In most of the casinos, there are huge passages for attracting the tourists. Once you put a step inside any one of those, there is a huge possibility of the world to go upside down when you see such huge jackpot machines installed in front of you.

Apart from them, if it is poker that attracts you, all you have to do is collect some of the convertible coins in exchange of the dollars and put them for trade.

Select any number inserted in the rolling machine in front of you and throw it by murmuring the name of your ‘lucky charm’, who knows it might be your lucky throw.

Las Vegas strip

Most of the casinos remain overcrowded in this place, with the tourists those who love to visit strip dances in the winter months. As the nights get more interesting with the gamblers bidding with a wish to make a fortune, the strippers set the entire casino on fire with some of their killer moves and hip movements.

During the festive seasons most of the casinos provide liquors for free till a certain amount. But if you need to fill your thirst a bit more you can purchase them easily.

Usually bachelors those who look out for sudden ‘hook ups’, ‘blind dates’, ‘relationship only for fun’, without any commitment, they take interests in the strip clubs.

Nothing can be much amazing than Vegas if you are either a punter or a bachelor and looking for living up the last days of a dying year.

What the Heck is an "Upside Down" Degree?

Students who gained the Associate degree at a local community college took one of two paths:

– Transfer Path to a 4-year College. At the Community College, students took General Education courses and a few lower division major classes and would transfer into the local state college as a Junior.

– Career Path to a Job. These Associate degrees would help gain a job after graduation. Some of these majors that led to employment were-electronics, computer repair, automotive mechanic, administrative assistant. The college counselors stressed that these associate degrees were not easily transferable.

Two changes have happened to allow students with a Career Track Associate (Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Applied Technology, or non-transferable AA or AS degrees) to move on and gain a Bachelor’s degree without losing all their credits.

1) Private universities (especially For-Profit schools) allow students to transfer more of the AAS and other non-transferable degrees without losing most of their credits. Even though these private schools are more expensive, the students see that it will take a much shorter time to gain the Bachelor’s degree.

2) Some State Legislatures began researching the need for Community College to offer Bachelor degrees. This was rejected by the State Colleges who feared a huge loss of students.

So the local state colleges began making compromises. One compromise was adding the Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Applied Technology. Students with the AAS or another non-transferable Associate degree now had a way to transfer the Associate degree “as a whole” and would come into the state college as a Junior. The term “Upside Down Degree” was used to show that the Major was at the community college or lower division level and the General Education would be taught at the State College or upper division level.

Recently, more compromises have been proposed. A few states are offering the 90-30 Program. The first 90 credits (usually the first 3 years) are taught at the community college, with only one year at the more expensive state university. All these changes have reduced costs of attending state colleges.

How to Create the Ultimate Bachelor Pad

Few men go through a stage in their life where they are lucky/unfortunate enough to live on their own and have expendable income. But when this does happen, he can seize the opportunity to create for himself something that many man would go to great lengths for, a bachelor pad.

First you need to be a single, second you need some money and third you will need a pad. You’re only limitations are your imagination, funds and spare time. Shop around for an apartment in the city, this is the place to be for a bachelor, if you can afford to buy that’s great, if not, you can usually find what you’re looking for to rent. Bear in mind that you can’t modify a rented apartment too much. You will have to go through the usual stuff, location, size, price etc, but you know what you want so go for it.

Once you have your property get planning, your pad should reflect your personality, unless you’re an ass, so start thinking about colour schemes, whether you want high-tech-sci-fi cubism or luxury leopard print-lined shagedelia. You are the one who will be living there so choose what you want, but be aware that if you want people to hang out there, particularly girls, it needs to be inviting and comfortable. Small rooms benefit from light, minimalist colours but if you have a large space at your disposal then try mixing in some dark, masculine colours.

Choose furniture that makes an impact, in an apartment one of the most prominent things you own will be your sofa, go for the biggest you can and preferably L-shaped as this is both stylish AND an efficient use of space. Pick a colour that either matches your decor or compliments it; black and white are usually safe choices but red will make even more of an impact and rarely clashes with other colours. Definitely go for leather, there is no real substitute, it needs to be leather. You’re not a girl so you don’t need lots of throw pillows but a few funky ones here and there could work.

Some apartments have decent lighting but if yours doesn’t, be sure to pick our some funky mood lighting. Don’t go mad on colours, you’re not hosting a disco, but some dramatic low level lighting with a few feature pieces should do the trick. No pad would be complete without a killer entertainment system; it’s a status symbol and the electronic equivalent of your manhood. Chose the biggest, best TV you can afford, don’t just go big and cheap as your fellow bachelors will notice this and ridicule you for it. Go just as big with your surround sound, in an apartment it doesn’t really need to be all that loud but go for quality, some nice stand alone speakers really set off a system. Be sure to get the latest gaming console so you and your buddies have the chance to battle it out for the alpha-nerd.

Don’t even begin to think of doing this without having your own bar, preferably with some bar stools. This will act as your seduction bait, pre-drinking den and the place for every after party. It will get you girls, friends and cement your social status as the party animal you obviously are.

Lastly, every bachelor pad needs that one obscene, unnecessary indulgence that sets it apart from the rest of us schmucks. This could be a pinball machine, golf simulator, Jacuzzi. The more ridiculous the better, you should have no need for it whatsoever and barely ever use it other than to impress people. If you have a balcony, perhaps you could invest in a BBQ with twelve separate grills and a kebab machine. Imagine the look on your friends faces when they find you have the front half of a Ford Mustang as an office desk, “Yeh, found it on eBay and just HAD to have it, couldn’t buy food this month but totally worth it!” Finally, sit back and enjoy it, because you can be sure it won’t last.

Tips for a Succesful Bachelor Party

Maintain a group size of 8 to 10 (or less) in order to be together all the time at group activities and dinner tables, since separation of group members often results to people getting into cliques and starting drama, which is generally not too fun.

The bachelor should be open about the number of people he plans to invite to the party. However, if these guys will bring more trouble than excitement when they are around, then it would be best to find a way to ensure they won’t come.

The same is true for those who are included in the planning. First of all, there should be a number of people in charge of the important parts like the dates, main event or night out. Thereafter, the rest will join in to discuss what has been decided on.

If the “main bachelor party” will take place in a day/night, that will typically be: having dinner, going to a nightclub and/or pool during daytime, then a strip club. If they do not plan to go to a pool or club/strip club, they can still enjoy many other things.

Group members should not be too aggressive when panning activities for all hours of each day, particularly on mornings after the group comes from a drinking session (which is practically all mornings).

Most of the other activities should only be “optional”. This means that though every person in the group is informed about the schedule, it depends on them if they want to attend or not.

If all people in the group have a cell phone (but some foreign visitors do not), group text chats can let everyone stay connected by staying on the same page. They should make sure, though, to set some privacy guidelines like “don’t share this with someone else”.

If the group is planning to have a theme – like in wearing matching outfits (no one likes it but can be fun) – they should be familiar with the dress codes, and be aware that a bunch of guys in clown hats and shorts can look annoying to bystanders.

A group that consists of guys shouldn’t waste their time registering for pool as well as nightclub guest lists. The person at the door will turn them down when the group does not consist of the same number of girls as there are guys.

Having said that, even if they are not considering table service, they should at least compute how much it would cost. When they think about the cover charges, buying drinks at the bar and waiting in line, it is worth it.

There are lots of liquor stores within a few minutes ride from the Strip via an Uber or Lyft. It may be more practical to store drinks, snacks plus hangover supplies that can come in handy when inside the room, so that room-service will not be too expensive.

Why Has Online Dating Become So Popular?

The increasing number of dating sites goes to prove that this form of dating has become very popular. The fact is that these sites all have members meaning that large numbers of singles are trusting in them to find them the kind of relationships they could be looking for. But what exactly has seen to the increased popularity of the sites?

Exposure – If there is one major setback that comes with traditional dating is limited exposure to potential dates depending on where you stay and work. But with online dating, the boundaries are broken and you get exposure beyond your neighborhood and country. It is possible to meet singles across the globe and this comes is a good thing because the probability of you finding a compatible partner is quite high.

Convenience – Life can be hectic, especially when you have too many responsibilities because then it means you have less time to attend to other areas of life such as dating. The good thing about online dating is that you can maintain a relationship without having to interfere with your working schedule as it is the case with traditional dating. Considering that chats and emails are commonly used in online dating, you can handle them as you go about your usual duties and tasks. You also enjoy the flexibility of dating at any convenient time, even before retiring to bed something that would be impossible to do when you choose offline dating.

Flexibility – Online dating does not only make you flexible in time, but also in the number of dates you can have at a time. You can contact as many singles as you like and have the freedom to evaluate and drop them one at a time depending on your preferences. You can easily refuse approaches and end contact without worrying about hurting the feelings of other singles. You can also have more than one relationship going before making your choice without any awkward moments as it happens with traditional dating.

Variety – People have varying dating preferences. For instance, whereas some might be interested to date a different race, some would rather stick to their races and locations. Some might be interested in finding love and getting into serious relationships while others would rather do casual encounters with no strings attached. Online dating sites cater so such needs, offering a variety of all singles. Some sites actually accommodate singles from specific age groups and this is a feature that makes it easy for the singles to join the most relevant sites depending on what they are looking for. It is something that would be hard to do when dating offline.

Discretion – It is another thing that has made online dating popular today. When you join a dating site, you can keep it a secret for as long as you want or until a time when you are sure about the relationship and then you can let everyone who matters now about it. The privacy you enjoy can save you from ridicule that can arise from recurring relationship failures and it also gives you the freedom of enjoying relationships that would otherwise not be approved by people around you.

Five Steps to Overcoming Commitment Phobia and Creating a Loving Life-Partner Relationship

While I define “commitment phobia” as “an unrealistic fear of making a promise, a pledge or a vow to be a faithful and loyal partner to another person,” many singles may also fear that becoming a committed couple means giving up, or losing, their independence.

It’s not uncommon for singles to fear that committing to be a life-long relationship challenges the safety and comfort they perceive as benefits of being single. Remaining single does have its advantages. You can come and go as you please, leave your dirty clothes or dirty dishes alone for as long as you want, and spend your time and money independently. And, you can choose to reveal to the world whatever parts of yourself you want to reveal, and keep your weaknesses and vulnerabilities hidden.

In most contexts, our fears are designed to keep us away from dangerous situations. It’s healthy and normal to fear snakes, loud noises and bad smells, and we protect ourselves by running away from them. But in order to create a trusting and intimate relationship with a partner, one has to confront fears and take emotional risks.

Accomplishing this goal requires confronting the fears of what you’re “losing,” and focusing instead on what you’re gaining — trust, intimacy, closeness — the rewards of a loyal and loving partnership. So, how might this be accomplished?

The first step is to acknowledge that you actually do want to share your life with someone. I’ve worked with many singles who don’t succeed in finding a relationship because they are ambivalent about really wanting one. Getting clarity on your life goals is part of the first step to attaining them. So start by identifyng what you truly want.

The second step is to acknowledge your fears, recognizing that they have kept you from achieving your goals all along. Knowing that you fear rejection, change, or loss of independence is important so that you can develop strategies to overcome them. This kind of strategizing can be done with a trusted friend or mentor, or even a coach. This person can help keep you honest, and focused, as you pursue your relationship goals.

The third step is to learn how to pace the development of a relationship. Many singles get caught up in passion and lust during a relationship’s early stages, only to back away when the time comes to making decisions about the future. Other singles are so hesitant to open up that they become “stingy” with their time and attention. Figure out what’s best for you, as long as you keep things moving forward.

The fourth step is to “make a commitment to see if we should make a commitment.” Agreeing to be in an exclusive relationship is a good way of practicing your commitment skills. Focus on discussing your life goals and dreams together, as well as revealing aspects of your inner selves to one another. Doing so will provide ample opportunities to experience trust, closeness and intimacy.

I’d like to say that there is a definitive final step. But if you’ve gotten this far, then the last step is one you should’ve been taking all along — recognizing that being in a committed partnership offers you the most opportunities to be all that you can be in this world. Couples in healthy relationships are devoted to mutually empower one another to be high-functioning contributing members of society. Successful people frequently give their partners credit for their achievements.

Seeing commitment phobia as the loss of one’s individuality and independence is therefore unrealistic. There is so much to be gained in a life with a partner that supercedes the alleged “loss” of independence. It admittedly takes risk, but by following the steps outlined above, perhaps you’ll finally experience how the benefits outweigh the “loss” in the end.

Single Parents In College – How To Meet The Double Challenge

Experts think that two of every ten college students today is a single parent, whether male or female. And the number of single parents in college is on a steady rise. This shouldn’t really be surprising since single-parent households have been on a sharp and steady increase for several decades. Whether by chance or choice, single parenting is a popular lifestyle for adults today.

Today, there are more single parents enrolled in college than ever before. Single parents face difficult challenges, and single parents who are also college students have additional stresses and demands to deal with.

The Challenges for Single-Parent College Students

Single parents attending college have many obstacles and difficulties. They have demands on their time greater than the amount of time they spend in class. They must also study to achieve satisfactory academic performance. Pressures to perform in class are added to those they already feel from their home and child-rearing responsibilities.

Society may not recognize the added burden. Being a single parent in college doesn’t change social expectations for making parent-teacher conferences, attending PTA meetings, coaching kids’ sports teams, and the host of activities expected of parents today.

And people may view single parents in college differently. Even if having children was a conscious choice, people may assume that the single parent was irresponsible in his or her social and sexual behavior. Peers and professors may assume the single parent is promiscuous, creating even more problems for the harried student. So while the stigma against single parents has largely disappeared in modern western cultures, it may not be completely gone for single parents in college.

* Managing Time

Handling crowded schedules and meeting difficult time constraints is hard enough for single parents. There are so many expectations and demands, and the same 24 hours for meeting them. For the single parent attending college, time is a precious commodity.

They must some how deal with the need to study and keep up the grades with the need to take care of their children and give them a happy, healthy environment in which to grow. Class attendance and the children’s extra-curricular activities may conflict.

Exams may be scheduled over soccer games. They may have to choose between taking the baby to the pediatrician and going to their own doctor about that bad cold. There are no easy choices for single parents in college.

Time constraints affect more than the kids and family unit. The single-parent college student has little time to care for their own physical and emotional health. Getting regular exercise, a healthy diet, and adequate rest may be impossible.

Finding the time and a quiet place to study may be one of the most difficult parts of their day. Often, study doesn’t begin until after the kids are asleep. That means losing precious hours of their own sleep. Balancing academic life and a single-parent family are a Herculean challenge.

* Managing Money

Single parents already face the challenge of being the main source of income for their family. Attending college adds a significant financial burden to an already strained pocketbook and budget.

As most of us know, college expenses are significant today. The costs of tuition and fees, textbooks, laboratory fees, and transportation and parking eat into limited money for rent, groceries, and child care.

While student loans are available, they add to financial burdens unknown to college students who don’t have children. Mounting debt may be a necessary evil for single parents attending college.

Is there any question, then, about why so many single parents drop out of college or get failing grades? Recent studies suggest that some single parents are choosing to put their kids in foster care or out for adoption in order to improve their lives with a college degree.

Those without a supportive extended family or outside resources may be forced to make this heart-breaking decision to give their children the best possible chance at life. The hard fact of the matter is that, without a college degree, the single parent may not be able to give their children a normal life anyway.

No matter how tempted we may be to judge the single parent in college who gives up their children, it is important to recognize and acknowledge their terrible dilemma. And for those that are able to pull it off, society owes a round of thunderous applause.

Valentine’s Day Ideas for Single People

February 14th is the day of love, but if you aren’t all loved-up, or even seeing anyone when Valentine’s Day rolls around, what are you supposed to do? For many folks, this can be one of the most dismal days of the year.

But listen up. If you’re single on Valentine’s Day, it doesn’t have to be the day from hell. Instead of moping around like Victor Meldrew, with your shoulders hanging so low, you could almost be mistaken for The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, follow the below pointers. There are some great ideas for Valentine’s Day that can be done on your own or in a group.

Melt Your Stress Away

Instead of sulking, why not pamper yourself? Relax, rejuvenate and relish the finer things in life. Take it easy and run a nice, hot bath complete with lots of bubbles and read that book you’ve been meaning to read, or flick through your favourite mag. Both men and women alike enjoy soaking in a hot tub – it’s one of the best – not to mention least expensive – Valentines Day ideas around. So switch off your phone, put on some music and embrace this quiet night with arms wide open.

Have a Hoot

Feeling down in the dumps? Check out one of the latest comedies. We’re not talking romantic comedies here, we’re talking flicks devoid of the soppy stuff, like ‘Rush Hour’, ‘Horrible Bosses’, ‘The Hangover’, ‘Men in Black’, ‘Bruce Almighty’… the list’s never-ending. After a few minutes, you’re guaranteed to howl like a hyena and enjoy your time at home much more than those Mr and Mrs Valentines, waiting in line for their table. So get the popcorn out and snuggle up with a cozy blankie.

Gym it

Head to the sports centre. Go for a run. Hop on your bike. You might not like the sound of it, but if you’re looking for feel-good Valentines Day ideas, a bit of a workout will do you the world of good. What’s more, it’ll be less crowded and, you never know, you might meet the single guy or girl of your dreams, sweating it up on the cross trainer or treadmill. Smiley face.

Retail Therapy

Ideas for Valentines Day don’t get much better than a spot of shopping. Couples splurge on slap-up meals and movies on February 14th, so why can’t you? While I don’t encourage you to fork out on costly stuff, you can still have fun shopping on your own or with friends, even if it’s treating yourselves to a beverage, snack or, if you’re really up for it, a yummy meal at a swanky restaurant. If you’re out with your best buds, be sure to don some ludicrous-looking hats and outfits and explore your favourite shops.

Get Some Beauty Sleep

You snooze, you succeed. If nothing else floats your boat, get an early night. Getting some well-deserved kip makes perhaps one of the finest Valentines ideas ever. You’ll wake up refreshed, and glad of the extra shut-eye.
